We’re delighted to be helping bring back Sherborne Art Club’s Open Exhibition, which has been on hiatus since 2018.
Founded in 1931, the exhibition is held annually in July. It has flourished and grown to become one of the West Country’s largest and most popular Open Art Exhibitions.
The Show
Open to all, the juried art exhibition celebrates the wealth and variety of visual arts in the region. as well as showcasing some of the outstanding accomplishments of artists on our doorstep.
Over 400 exhibits are for sale and the entrance is free. There is good Disabled Access and Pay and Display Parking beside the Hall.
Fringe Events
This year Sherborne Arts is planning fringe events to complement the exhibition experience. More details soon.

Hand in days:
Friday 15th July 1pm-6pm
Saturday 16th July 10am-1pm
Handing-back Day:
Sunday 31st July, from 2 to 4pm.
Online Form:
The online form allows you to register your entries and pay in advance. This will allow you to hand in your pictures at the fast-track desk, without any paperwork.
Please make sure you have all your titles and prices prepared before you complete the form, as you cannot make changes yourself after submission (changes must be made by arrangement, please email sherborneopen@sherbornearts.org if necessary).
The deadline for online submission is Sunday July 10th. As with previous exhibitions, you can fill in your forms and labels on the day if you wish.
Entry categories and fees:
Work for display. 2D or sculpture. £8 each. Maximum of 3 entries
Folio work. Unframed work mounted or on board. £4 each. Maximum of 3 entries
Entry fees now include membership.
All are welcome to enter. Works will be chosen by a panel of three selectors (tba), on the basis of quality, interest and representing the region.
